Pumpkin spice latte
Pumpkin spice latte is supposed to be the most popular coffee chains’ drink for Autumn-Winter season. The thing is that the one you buy from this smiling barista shouting your name out loud never even stood next to pumpkin… plus it has a lot of sugar’n’stuff in it which fools you taste buds tasting delicious while making your body sad for poisoning it.
What you need is just a little kitchen time, pumpkin, ground spices, vegan milk and coffee, of course, to make your own amazing drink and show the middle finger to those coffee corporations.
RECIPE
1 tbsp pumpkin puree
1 tsp pumpkin spice
0,5 cup vegan milk (rice, oat or your choice)
black coffee (you might want to try chicory coffee) prepared as you like it
xylitol/honey/rice syrup/agave syrup to sweeten
Use a small pot to heat up the pumpkin puree with the spices for 3 min. stirring constantly until the aromas blend. Add milk and sweetener and mix throughout, until the pumpkin milk gets hot. You can blend it in the cup blender for an extra smooth texture and a bit of froth. Pour coffee to your favourite cup, add the milk and enjoy while looking as the rain splashes on a windowsill.
